Duclo Bhobo

A Century of Excellence

At Aquaterra, we are proud to be a part of the rich legacy of Duclo Bhobo, a family enterprise that has been synonymous with quality and innovation since its inception in 1930.

Founded in the vibrant city of Panaji, Goa, then under the Portuguese regime by the visionary minds of Damodar Vishnu Duclo and Vaman Baburao Bhobo, Duclo Bhobo initially began its journey as an import house. Specializing in a diverse array of products ranging from hardware to building materials, stationary to fishing hooks, Duclo Bhobo quickly established itself as a trusted name in the industry.

Following the liberation, Duclo Bhobo shifted its focus towards the building material and hardware segments, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its illustrious history. Over the decades, Duclo Bhobo continued to evolve, adapting to the changing landscape of the industry while staying true to its core values of excellence and integrity.

In 1965, as Hindustan Sanitaryware emerged in collaboration with Twyfords of the UK, Duclo Bhobo proudly stood as one of its pioneering distributors in the country. The year 1972 witnessed another milestone as Duclo Bhobo became one of the exclusive dealers for Somany Ceramics, which embarked on its journey of tile manufacturing in partnership with Pilkington of the UK.

Over the years, Duclo Bhobo continued its commitment to innovation by introducing leading tile brands like Johnson and Orient to Goa’s discerning customers. In 2007, we established the first Somany Exclusive showroom in western India, setting new industry standards.

In 2009, we introduced the prestigious Moen faucet brand to Goa, followed by the launch of the renowned Spanish sanitaryware brand Roca in 2011, showcasing our dedication to offering top-quality products.

Duclo Bhobo’s legacy of innovation persisted as we brought imported and designer tiles to Goa, shaping market trends. Our collaboration with Grohe in 2014 brought a world-class faucet display to Goa, reinforcing our industry leadership.

In 2017, we embarked on a new venture with the launch of Nexion, an Indo-Italian luxury surfaces brand, catering to Goa’s discerning buyers. Today, Nexion represents high-end luxury tiles, reflecting our unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship for our customers.

Aquaterra

Aquaterra is conceptualized  as Goa’s premier destination for luxury and premium bathroom and kitchen brands curated from around the globe. It is a first-of-its-kind expertise-driven immersive store experience in the luxury and premium bathroom and kitchen segment.

We have redefined the experience by offering live demonstrations of our curated products. From bathroom fixtures, and sanitaryware to kitchen worktops & waste systems.  Our showroom serves as an interactive playground where customers can engage with the products firsthand. Our knowledgeable staff is committed to providing personalized attention, spending time with customers to showcase products live. And for those items that cannot be demonstrated live, our multimedia discovery zone ensures that every aspect of the product is explored and understood.

In 2022, amidst the post-Covid landscape, the significance of creating better living spaces became apparent. With a shift towards investing more in home renovations, bathrooms and kitchens emerged as focal points, garnering increased attention and budget allocation. However, for those seeking high-end designer brands, architects, villa developers, and individual buyers alike found themselves having to venture outside of Goa to cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi.

Recognizing this gap in the market, Duclo Bhobo conceptualized Aquaterra – a haven for luxury and premium bathroom and kitchen brands  Spanning an impressive 6000 square feet of showroom space, Aquaterra is dedicated to showcasing these marquee brands in an unparalleled display.

Step into the Aquaterra  studio and embark on a journey of luxury, innovation, and unparalleled service. Experience the touch and feel of excellence as we bring the world’s finest bathroom and kitchen brands to Goa, making luxury more accessible than ever before.
